From The Principal's Desk

  • Shriman Bhausaheb Zadbuke Mahavidyalaya, Barshi was established in 1969 by ‘Barshi Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’, Barshi, founded in 1964. The pedestal of our college is ll सा विद्या या विमुक्तये ll meaning ‘Knowledge that liberates’ as foresaw by the visionaries of the founders. This Sanskrit phase is a combination of two main words one ‘Vidya’ means ‘Knowledge’ and another ‘Vimuktaya’ means ‘to liberates’. So the meaning of the whole phrase is the knowledge which liberates us from poverty, diseases, sin, and all negative energies. The college formerly, Barshi College, Barshi is a first ever college to be instituted by Barshi Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. The college has its own spacious and green 11 acres campus located in the heart of the city.
